On the other hand you could treat them as guests and try to be as hospitable as possible. You could try to understand them on a personal level because they aren’t the ones that drew the plans nor used the eminent domain for the utilities. You could even disciple to them for Jesus Christ. Dear Brother Duncan, I can see two remedy routes to try to deal with your eminent domain issue. On one hand you could play up your Scottish side to the nth degree offering them haggis and other not quite American pallet compatible food. You could play them Scottish folk music that they might not enjoy. You could strike up conversation with them using your strongest Scottish accent to try and confuse them.
